Tom Kong came to Los Angeles to work in the field of Audio Engineering and Music Technology but was lured away from his audio dream job by the magic of Cinema and Live Shows. After decades of designing lighting equipment, he continues to learn about how the gear is used on set and the evolving needs of todays’ filmmakers. Due to his busy day designing this equipment, he is often unable to come to set, however, his special lights and his presence on the set of TONIGHT’S SPECIAL were invaluable - and his work as chief electrician/grip contributed immensely to the film’s success.
